At FIMA Europe, we spoke to Jon Farina, CTO of WCKD RZR, to see why they sponsored for the first time this year.
Jon: I think it was just a confluence of things we saw. Our products are relevant to target this audience, so we thought it would be a good experience and opportunity, so we decided to sponsor! This is our first year and we are very pleased so far.
Jon: They have been excellent; for us, this is our target demographic. We believe that the problem that we are solving really resonates with chief data officers and data leaders. So, when we saw the delegate list, it ticked all the boxes, and to be able to have conversations with them directly is great. They’re approaching us, not randomly grabbing us, and they’re asking about our product and we’re getting market feedback. You see a lot of people in the day too, it’s been very good and useful.
Jon: They’ve been very good, the breakout from a track session is excellent if you’re in the industry. As when everyone leaves the sessions, they come to us and want to know more, then you get the opportunity to speak to them; it’s been very helpful.
Jon I have been to a couple, and I thought they were great, we are also doing the Dragons Den Panel. We are a startup business, so we are building traction and trying to build momentum, and having the opportunity to be part of the Dragons Den gives us an opportunity to expand our product to a wider audience.
Jon I think it has been excellent, it’s been very focused and specific to this industry which is what we are looking for. Some events similar can be in large locations which you never really get any footfall, but it’s perfectly sized here. Having people walk past your desk is great, but it’s having that opportunity to really get to that decision-maker which is important. It’s been a genuinely great time overall.
WCKD RZR provides an AI-powered data enablement suite, transforming complex data estates into accessible, governable assets. They eliminate the need for disparate tools, connecting to databases without touching data, and applying governance policies centrally.
