Drew Orsinger

CEO and Co-Founder Tractiv

Drew is the CEO and Co-Founder of Tractiv, a data tracking company using immutable ledger technology. He is a career security professional with 25 years of experience, having most recently served as a Chief Security Officer (CSO) for SpaceX, Honeywell, and CME Group.

Before joining the private sector, Drew spent 16 years working for the U.S. Government. He was the Risk and Resilience Section Chief at Argonne National Laboratory providing security analysis on infrastructure protection, threat analyses, and cyber security warfare. As as Protective Security Advisor for the Department of Homeland Security in Chicago, he conducted vulnerability assessments on critical infrastructure and served as a security liaison to the Illinois Homeland Security Advisor, City of Chicago, Emergency Management Directors, and First Responder community.

Drew also worked as a founding member of Department of Homeland Security in 2003, serving Secretary Ridge and Chertoff as Deputy Director for Current Operations in Washington, D.C. He coordinated special operations with the Secret Service, Coast Guard, Transportation Security Administration, and the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office. Drew also worked for Customs and Border Protection where he resolved complex cases with the Joint Terrorism Task Force involving international air and maritime traffic. Drew served on active duty for 9 years in the U.S. Coast Guard where he had several different assignments in operations, intelligence, and policy.

Drew served as the Coast Guard liaison to the FBI’s Strategic Information Operations Center for over a year following the 9/11 attacks. Drew also served in the Clinton White House as a Social Aide. Drew’s first assignment in 1996 was as Operations Officer of a Coast Guard Cutter stationed in Long Beach, California.

Drew earned a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1996 and a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University in 2010.
