Sian is the Director of Enterprise Data Governance at Nationwide Building Society, accountable for the value driven advance of data management practices enterprise wide. Prior to joining Nationwide, Sian headed up the Business Data Modelling & Metadata function at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) and was a founding member in establishing the inaugural Chief Data Office function for LBG.
Across her career to date, Sian has held a wide variety of Data & Analytics leadership positions throughout the financial services sector, including globally facing roles at JP Morgan Chase and Standard & Poor’s. Sian is passionate about turning data management from being seen as regulatory driven to a core enabler for business simplification, innovation and decision making.
Sian is an active member of key industry groups, including FIMA, Enterprise Data Management Association (EDMA) and Data IQ. Most recently Sian launched Nationwide’s Women in Data chapter, a key industry partnership to encourage, support and retain female talent into exciting careers in Data.
