Hiek is a passionate all-round Data & AI practitioner with a strong business sense and ability to find the right pragmatic approach. He has built up deep expertise on how business can derive value from Data, Analytics, and AI. Hiek drives Data & AI transformations from strategy to implementation, has a track record on realizing impact while ensuring a sustainable foundation. The use cases he is involved in vary from basic analytics to AI and covers both the offensive and defensive side of data. In his current role Hiek is responsible for ABN AMRO’s transformation to become a Data- and AI driven organization. He leads the Data & AI agenda, sets the appropriate data governance, and ensures impact across the organization. Hereby serving as the bridge between business, IT and data. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, he worked at Aegon, McKinsey, EY-VODW and TrueChoice Solutions, and worked across the globe for various industries ranging from Insurance, Banking, Telco, Energy, Electronics to Online gaming.
